ACE Insurance unites for charity
ACE Insurance NZ has adopted United Way as its formal charity.
United Way is an independent, non-religious, non-political, volunteer based organisation that provides funding assistance, volunteer time and necessary skills to help almost 200 human welfare charities throughout the country.
Priority sectors include:
Children and
young people |
Families in
crisis |
Neighbourhoods and communities |
Caring for the
elderly |
Promoting health and independence |
Emergencies, food and shelter |
ACE's
support is multi-faceted;
We have donated a lump sum for United Way to distribute
among a number of worthy causes.
ACE is now a silver corporate partner of United Way in NZ. |
We have launched
a payroll giving scheme to our staff where
they can elect to donate a set amount from
their monthly salary. |
As part of ACE's 20th anniversary commemorations our team carried out a half day of community service activities, organised through United Way. The charities we assisted were Ambury Park Centre for Riding Therapy and Ronald McDonald House. |
Don Oliver, Chief Executive of
United Way, said:
"We're delighted that ACE Insurance have elected to
support United Way. Last year around half a
million people benefited from our help through the
190 charities we assist. ACE's support will
enable us to fund even more charities and
effectively help a much greater range of people."
